CAMP has been developed to empower teachers with a comprehensive resource they can trust to help deliver their curriculum outcomes. PHONICS

Phonics is at the heart of how children learn to read and write. Once they know the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they represent, children are ready to use those building blocks to read words and simple sentences. LiteracyPlanet helps children build their phonemic awareness from recognising letter-sound correspondences to understanding how words make meaning in context.

READING

At the heart of learning to read is enjoying the journey. Loving what we read leads to us being more likely to continue reading and most importantly, make reading a lifelong habit.

ORTHOGRAPHY

Spelling is much more than knowing the relationship between letters and sounds. Becoming good at spelling requires repetition in meaningful contexts, where students spell familiar and unfamiliar words within contexts they can identify and relate to the real world.

COMPREHENSION

In today’s information-filled world, having highly developed comprehension skills is more important than ever before. The pathway to developing these skills requires reading across a variety of knowledge areas combined with the integration of purposeful, targeted strategies that help students understand each text at its literal, inferential and evaluative level.
